F.A.Q

LA Swimming Center is an internationally recognized Swim School Training Center, equipped with a European Saltwater Filtration System, providing top-tier aquatic education in Malaysia.

Our instructors undergo rigorous training and certification, ensuring they meet international safety and teaching standards. Unlike many swim schools, we operate in our own dedicated facilities, designed specifically for swimming instruction and safety.

Our teaching approach sets us apart—we create a fun, friendly, and engaging environment, where children learn through interactive games and skill-based activities. This method enhances learning, builds confidence, and fosters a lifelong love for swimming.

At LA Swimming Center, we believe swimming is a life skill, not just an activity. Learning to swim can be life-saving, and we are committed to equipping all our students with the confidence and skills to stay safe in and around water.

Our instructors undergo rigorous training and certification to ensure the highest teaching and safety standards. They are accredited under the PADI Swim School Training Center or SSI Swim School Training Center programs.

In addition to swim instruction certification, all our instructors are certified lifeguards and Emergency First Responders (EFR), trained in First Aid and CPR for both adults and children. This comprehensive training ensures that our team is fully prepared to provide a safe, professional, and effective learning experience for all students.

At LA Swimming Center, we understand that some children may feel anxious or fearful when learning to swim. Our training program equips instructors with the skills to observe, assess, and adapt to each child’s unique temperament and comfort level.

Through hands-on experience across all class levels, our instructors learn to handle a variety of student personalities. They are trained to use a gentle, patient, and supportive approach, helping children build water confidence at their own pace. By creating a fun and reassuring environment, we ensure a positive and stress-free learning experience for every child.

No. Removing your child from lessons too soon may reinforce their fears and anxieties. Like any new activity, swimming takes time for children to adjust, feel comfortable, and build trust with their instructor.

At LA Swimming Center, we use a gentle and supportive approach to help children gradually gain confidence in the water. With patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement from both our instructors and parents, most children will overcome their fears and develop a love for swimming!

Every individual learns at a different pace. While we strive for steady progress, the learning duration depends on factors such as prior water experience, confidence level, and natural learning ability.

Swimming is a lifelong skill that requires continuous practice to build and maintain. We strongly recommend ongoing lessons to ensure skill retention and sustained improvement. Consistency is key to developing confidence and mastery in the water.

To support progress, LA Swimming Center offers an app that allows students and parents to track learning milestones, helping swimmers stay motivated and continuously improve their skills.

If your child’s instructor is absent, we will provide a qualified substitute to ensure continuity in their learning. All our instructors are trained under the same program, so the class structure and teaching approach remain consistent.

While we strive to maintain regular instructors, occasional scheduling conflicts may arise. We encourage parents to be open-minded about substitutes, as this helps children adapt and continue progressing in their swimming journey.

We provide flotation devices like noodles to support learning. However, students must bring their own goggles and wear an appropriate swimsuit. A swim cap is mandatory to prevent hair from obstructing vision while swimming. Bringing a towel and a change of clothes is also recommended for comfort after lessons.

Each lesson lasts between 55 minutes to 1 hour, ensuring ample time for skill development, practice, and personalized instruction.

We recommend starting as early as 6 months old to help infants build water confidence and utilize their natural reflexes developed in the womb. Research shows that swimming lessons for children aged 1-4 years can significantly reduce the risk of drowning.

At LA Swimming Center, we offer a variety of swimming programs tailored for all age groups, starting from 12 months old and above.
